My Portfolio

Welcome to my portfolio. Here you’ll find a selection of my work. Explore my projects to learn more about what I do.

This is a split complementary color scheme. I wanted the green to look like a void so the red spider would stand out. I do think It would look more interesting if I switched the red with blue and made the web red instead. I do like how it came out I am very proud of myself. I started with the background then moved on to the web and did the red spider last. I went over it again to see if there was anything I needed to fix and added highlights. I am very happy with my work I tried my best and I think it shows everything I like.

Ink Blowing And Watercolor

When I started the ink blowing I had an idea of making a man of sorts in mind but it turned into a bunch of dead trees. I wanted it to now look like a night in a forest of some sort and I am proud of how it turned out I did my best. I do wish I waited for the ink to dry fully because it did bleed and smear into the watercolor but I tried to blend it in to the best I could. Over all I am glad of how it came out!

Smoke Art

This art I made by holding a lighted candle to a piece of paper and letting the soot make marks on the paper. I wanted to make an imprint of a wheat leaf in the soot by pressing it against the paper. It didn't really look well and you couldn't really see it so I went back with an eraser and made the lines pop out more. When people see this, they think of nature being burned and erased of some sort and I think it is fascinating that they make that connection with the wheat and fire. I am very happy with how this turned out and would really enjoy tying something new and maybe even outing more soot around.

Dreams Painting

This is a painting of my dreams and nightmares. I wanted to do a pond because in my life I have had many issues arise and it has affected my mental health. I live next to a pond and often go there to clear my mind. I see it in my dreams a lot always in the water where it seems so peaceful and pure, The swan symbolizes the pureness I feel when I am there. The trees and flowers and water pads are all so beautiful. I use the colors to all stand out against the blue and draw your eyes to the butterfly the lotus and lastly the flower. I do wish I was able to blend everything better and have the POV lined up correctly but I am happy with how this turned out.

Anything But A Canvas

This is a painting that I gifted my best friend for Christmas. I put it on a tote bag, the reason I did jellyfish and sea creatures is because she loves the sea and the beach so I hoped she would take it on her next trip.  I am really happy how the jellyfish turned out, especially the colors I use it make it look very pretty and stand out. I do think I could do better on the bubbles I had use different ways of doing it on each bubble so it was a learning process. The clam I do really like I do think I could have but more detail into it to make it more lively but I am happy how it turned out overall. I am very proud of this painting I did my best and my friend appreciated it very much!

Watercolor and pen

This painting/drawing is an animal representing us as a person. I chose a deer because people always say I am one and how gentle I am. I wanted this cocoon of beauty in the center, showing how peaceful it can be.  I loved the water around it also showing the boldness of a deer itself how strong they are. I added roses because I thought they would fit well with the deer and me. It is gentle and has a certain beauty but also danger to them. Being by itself and isolated and it feels like me. Everything in this painting is me. I wish I had chosen the colors differently for the water but overall, I am really happy with this piece.
